The Area
Angel is home to the N1 Centre which is a central hub for shopping, dining and entertainment. Within the past few years it has expanded massively and now has big name brands such as Wagamamas, Mango, H&M, Office, Uniqlo and Monsoon alongside ideal entertainment spots such as a sports bar, mini golf, cinema and live music venue. Some days you can also find boutique stalls selling anything from handmade jewellery, cupcakes, perfumes etc.
Just across from the N1 centre is Chapel Market a 150 year old street market offering a wide selection of stalls – fruit and veg, flowers, cards and gifts, toys, electrical goods, sports inspired merchandise, sandwiches etc. On either side of the market you will find an array of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
To the side of Islington High Street is Camden Passage, a charming hidden gem of Islington tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The traffic free cobbled streets house an abundance of shops, boutiques, antiques, restaurants and cafes alongside the Camden Head Pub which offers a delightful and free comedy club every Thursday.
Behind Camden Passage you will find The Regent’s Canal taking you down to Broadway Market and is the perfect oasis for walkers, boaters, commuters and anyone looking to escape the busy streets.
Transport
Angel Station is located at the top of Islington High Street and is served by the Northern Line bank branch. It provides easy access to the City within 10 minutes and is between stations Old Street and Kings Cross.
